David Karandish

David Karandish is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at AFCV Holdings, a portfolio company of growth equity investor Summit Partners. AFCV Holdings was established in 2007 to build, acquire, and oversee a broad range of independent internet technologies, businesses, and assets that connect consumers seeking advice with the most relevant and comprehensive content from both experts and consumer communities.

Before David became the CEO of AFCV Holdings, he was sitting in a small dorm room at Washington University in St. Louis. On his way to achieving a bachelor's degree in computer science and entrepreneurship, David took on many personal projects, including the invention of AIM Talk, a program that allows your computer to speak what your friends are typing through AOL's Instant Messenger Program. While AIM talk was a fun side-project, David's ambition led him to become the CEO of Expo Group, an online resource in the consumer mortgage industry.

That ambition also led him to the NBC network and well-known homemaker, Martha Stewart. Recognizing his business potential, David was selected as a contestant on the short-lived spin-off of "The Apprentice," "The Apprentice: Martha Stewart." Following his appearance on the show in 2006, David created Announce Media, building a company from the basement of a small church, to a brand new, technologically-savvy office in St. Louis' Delmar Loop. The company has even expanded to include a west-coast office, located in Mountain View, California.

David is married and remains based in his home town of St. Louis.
