Wow, what adventure!
Well, for anyone who has tuned in I hope you have all enjoyed the show. I know I did!
One good thing about being off is that I can now have more fun talking about the show! Post your questions here and I'll be more than happy to talk about the unaired antics of the show (slightly censored so I wont get sued )

The $100 Laptop
The fine folks over at MIT have introduced a proposal for the $100 laptop to help children in developing nations join the digital revolution. Very, very cool.

Digital Hoosiers
Hicks. Hoosiers. Rednecks. Whatever you call them, you probably know someone who fits this description. The great thing about the Internet is that these people aren't left out - they are given a new way to be themselves.
Case in point: I drive a '94 Dodge Shadow. It's a real piece of work. I recently turned the six digit mark and found myself compelled to take a picture with my cameraphone.
As a digital hoosier, technology has allowed me to capture such a momentous occasion would have otherwise gone unnoticed.

Day in the life
People ask me all the time: what do you do for a living? I give the standard fare answers of Internet enterpreneurship, online financial services, search engine optimization, custom IT solutions blah blah blah. It never really gets the point across.
As I'm in the process of hiring a new assistant, I wrote a list of all things I'd like to get done in the next few weeks. Take a gander:
Most people's todo lists don't include items like "Respond to Cease and Desist".

Day Trading
As a novice to the stock market, I'm interested in learning about day-trading online. I know absolutely nothing but as in most things, I'm more than willing to learn. Anyone have a good website or forum on the topic?

Popups aren't going anywhere
So after reading the article on Pernicious Popups from MSNBC/Newsweek, I realize that no matter how pissed off people are about popups, companies like Direct Revenue will continue to release them as long as they are profitable (and that includes subtracting out the cost of lawsuits). Tis part of the dark side of Internet advertising.

Book Review: Finding Common Ground
Per recommendation from my friend Jim, I started reading "Finding Common Ground" by Tim Downs. While my ADD-like reading pace has kept me from finishing the book sooner (it's under 200 pages so yeah, no excuse) it has been quite the eye opener. The book presents the following assertion: in a post-modern world, traditional thinking towards Christianity has changed. How so?
The example he gives is with Truth. In times past, most people thought that absolute Truth exists. They may not believe in Christ, God, or even a Higher Power at all, but they did believe there is an absolute Truth. In today's postmodern world, people no longer believe there is one Truth - everything is "my truth" or "your truth" ie. Truth doesn't exist or if it does, we sure can't know it. How do you convey the Gospel of Jesus Christ to someone who doesn't believe Truth could exist?
From a computer scientist, the concept is tough to grasp - everything is true or false (0 or 1)! However, in the non-binary world, the concept of no absolute Truth or no known absolute Truth is one of the biggest fundamental philosophical and theological shifts of today. As I study the matter, I pray for direction on how to convey the joy of the Gospel in a world that is quickly denying Truth.
"If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth and the truth will set you free." - John 8:31-32
